About St. Clair County Court Docket

St. Clair County court case histories do not come from one universal records counter. Circuit and Family Division files, district-court matters, and probate files have different custodians, while Michigan's public search tools provide only an informational view. This independent reference organizes those routes so readers can identify the court, clerk, and official channel that fit the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Finding a St. Clair County court record often begins with deciding which court has the file. The 31st Circuit Court of St. Clair County, including its Family Division, uses the St. Clair County Clerk/Register of Deeds for circuit-level records. The 72nd District Court has its own clerk routing through the Port Huron and Marine City branches, and Probate Court files follow a separate Probate Clerk channel. A case history found through MiCOURT Case Search can help identify the case and court, but it is not the official record.

This site brings together the public search routes, clerk distinctions, court-date guidance, and document-request information that a reader needs before approaching the office that actually maintains the file. The county's older St. Clair Web Inquiry is another local path for public case-history searching when available.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket guides: local explanations of criminal docket searches and civil docket searches, including the court level that normally maintains each kind of case.
  • Court dates and settings: a court dates guide for reading a public case-history event and confirming a pending hearing with the right court office.
  • Case lookups: a case lookup guide for using a party name or case number in MiCOURT or the local Web Inquiry route.
  • Record requests: a court record search guide that distinguishes an online case history from an official, public, or certified document request.

What We Cannot Do

St. Clair County Court Docket is a privately operated reference site, not a Michigan court, clerk's office, or government service. Our role is limited to explaining public-facing routes and helping readers understand which official office holds a record. We cannot:

  • Retrieve an official case history, docket sheet, or court file for a visitor
  • Set, move, cancel, or confirm a hearing date
  • Change, remove, seal, or correct a court record
  • Issue a certified copy of a filing, order, docket, or other record
  • Give legal advice or apply a court rule, charge, order, or deadline to a particular situation
  • Promise that a court phone number, fee, calendar entry, or public portal result is current or complete

Only the court or clerk that maintains the file can provide its official record or certify a copy. For circuit and Family Division records, that custodian is the County Clerk/Register of Deeds; District Court and Probate Court records must go to their own clerks.

Search Partners

Some content pages include search boxes provided by third parties. Those providers operate their own services, prices, results, and terms. A paid sign-up reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that helps support this free reference site, but we do not control the provider's records or its charges. Official court information and certified documents remain available only from the appropriate court or clerk.
