This Is Not a Court or Government Office. St. Clair County Court Docket is a private reference site. We cannot retrieve official records, change or confirm a court setting, file a document, seal a case, issue a certified copy, or provide legal advice. Use the appropriate court or clerk below for those official services.
Need an Official Docket or Record?
Use MiCOURT Case Search for a public, statewide case-history starting point. The local St. Clair Web Inquiry is another public route when available. Both are informational rather than the official record, so use the court-specific clerk when a date needs confirmation, a document is needed, or a record is restricted or absent from the public display.
- A public case history or case number: begin with the Case Lookup guide and identify the court listed in the result before asking for a record.
- A court date or hearing setting: review the latest public event through Court Dates, then verify a near-term or changed setting with the clerk for the court shown on the case.
- 31st Circuit Court or Family Division records: contact the St. Clair County Clerk/Register of Deeds, Room 1100, 201 McMorran Boulevard, Port Huron, MI 48060. The office phone is 810-985-2200 and fax is 810-985-2241. Clerk hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
- Circuit document or certified-copy requests: the 31st Circuit Court document-request form is limited to records retained by the County Clerk. It lists $15 for an emailed PDF plus a $5 processing charge, with an additional $10 certified option. Do not use it for District or Probate files.
- 72nd District Court traffic or criminal matters in Port Huron: call 810-985-2072. For Port Huron civil or small-claims matters, call 810-985-2077. Both routes are associated with Room 2900.
- 72nd District Court matters at the Marine City branch: contact the branch at 2088 South Parker Street, Marine City, MI 48039, by phone at 810-765-4057. It is a branch of the 72nd District Court, not an independent city court.
- Probate Court records: contact the Probate Clerk in Room 2600 at 810-985-2066 for estates, trusts, guardianships, conservatorships, mental-health proceedings, and other probate-file questions.
- Michigan public-access rules: Michigan Court Rule 8.119 governs access to court records. Court records are not handled as an ordinary Michigan FOIA request because the judiciary and a county clerk acting as circuit clerk are excluded from the public-body definition in MCL 15.232.
The County Clerk/Register of Deeds is the primary custodian for 31st Circuit and Family Division records, not a universal counter for every St. Clair County case. District and Probate files must be directed to their own clerks. Protected personal information and restricted case categories can limit the public material available under Michigan Court Rule 8.119 and Michigan Court Rule 1.109.
